How Much Does a Website Cost in Taiwan in 2026?

A straight answer for Taiwan businesses and exporters: what a website really costs in US$ and NT$, what changes the price, and how to compare quotes.

The short answer: at an independent studio like Kodinav, a custom corporate website for a Taiwan business costs US$2,000 – 4,000 (about NT$62,000 – 124,000), an online store US$4,000 – 8,000 (about NT$124,000 – 248,000), and a web application from US$8,000. You will see quotes in Taiwan far below and far above those numbers, because template packages, freelancers and agencies are selling different products under the same word.

This guide explains what each level buys, the Taiwan-specific details that change the price, and how to compare quotes without being misled by the headline number.

Quotes are fixed in US dollars. NT$ figures are approximate conversions at NT$31 per US dollar, rounded up, and every project gets a fixed, itemised quote after a discovery call.

Template, custom or application: what you are actually buying

At the entry level is a template: a purchased theme, or a hosted store platform such as SHOPLINE or CYBERBIZ, with your logo, text and photos added. It launches quickly and costs little, and for a business that only needs a basic presence it can be the right choice. The limits show when you need real speed, a distinctive brand, or a site that brings in enquiries and orders.

In the middle is a custom website: a design built around your brand, content planned around how your customers search, and a build engineered for speed and SEO. At this level the website starts to behave like a salesperson rather than an online brochure.

At the top are large sites and genuine applications, such as stores with complex product structures, booking systems or member platforms, along with agency projects priced to cover sales staff, project managers and an office.

What changes the price in Taiwan

Payments and e-invoices. Connecting a Taiwanese gateway such as ECPay, NewebPay or TapPay, and issuing uniform e-invoices automatically at checkout, adds integration and testing time. It also removes hours of manual reconciliation and invoicing every month.

Logistics and convenience-store pickup. Many shoppers in Taiwan prefer to collect orders at a convenience store. Letting customers choose a pickup store at checkout through a logistics provider's API adds scope to an e-commerce build.

LINE. An add-friend button is simple. LINE Login, linking member accounts or sending order notifications through a LINE Official Account is integration work, and it is priced as such.

A second language. Exporters usually need an English version. Done properly, each language gets its own URLs and hreflang tags, plus a second set of content. At Kodinav a second language adds US$500 – 1,200 (about NT$16,000 – 38,000).

English websites for Taiwanese exporters

For manufacturers and exporters, the English website is not there to look pretty. Its job is to help an overseas buyer find a specification quickly, trust your factory and send an inquiry. Clear product categories, specification tables, downloadable catalogues, certifications and an RFQ form, combined with pages planned around the product terms buyers search for, are where this kind of website earns its return.

The costs after launch

Hosting for a well-built corporate site is modest and should be paid at cost on an account in your name. Domains renew annually for very little. Payment-gateway fees are charged per transaction by the gateway. Maintenance is optional. Ask for every ongoing cost in writing before you sign, because that is where an unusually cheap quote often recovers its margin.

How to compare quotes fairly

Ask every provider the same five questions. Who exactly will build the site? Is the price fixed, and what does it include? Will I own the code, domain and hosting accounts? How fast is it on a phone, and can you show me a live example? What happens after launch, and what does support cost?

A studio confident in its work answers all five plainly. Vague answers are a bigger warning sign than a high price. The free website cost calculator below gives you an honest range before you start asking.
