Free ADA & WCAG Checker
Is your website accessible?
Scan any page for the most common WCAG 2.1 failures: missing alt text, unlabelled forms, nameless buttons and links, blocked zoom and more. Each problem comes with why it matters and how to fix it.
Why it matters
About one in four US adults has a disability, according to the CDC. A site they can't use loses them as customers, and inaccessible websites are the subject of thousands of ADA lawsuits a year.
What the law expects
Courts and settlements point to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. No scan can certify that; a site built and tested to it, with a record of the testing, is the protection.
What to do next
Fix what the scan finds, then have a person test contrast, keyboard use and a screen reader. Or have it built right from the start.

FAQ
Questions about website accessibility
The WCAG 2.1 checks that can be decided from a page's HTML: page language and title, pinch-to-zoom, text alternatives for images, names for links, buttons and form fields, titles on embedded frames, heading order, forced tab order and autoplaying sound. Each result names the WCAG criterion and how to fix it.
No. Automated scans find only part of the problems. Colour contrast, keyboard use, focus visibility and how a screen reader actually reads the page need testing by a person. Use the scan to find and fix the obvious failures, then get a full WCAG 2.1 AA audit. This is not legal advice.
There is no technical regulation for private businesses, but website accessibility lawsuits under ADA Title III are filed in the thousands each year, and courts use WCAG 2.1 AA as the yardstick. State and local governments must meet WCAG 2.1 AA under a 2024 Department of Justice rule.
No. Overlays add a toolbar but don't fix the page's code, so screen-reader users still meet the same barriers, and sites using them are still sued. The checker tells you if a page loads one.
Images without alt text, form fields without labels, icon buttons and links without names, low colour contrast, and missing page language. Most are quick to fix in the code.
The page is fetched once to run the scan and the result is shown to you. We don't publish or share scan results.
