Find the links that lead nowhere.

A visitor clicks because they were interested — and lands on an error page at the exact moment of interest. Internally, broken links also waste the crawl attention Google gives your site, and a page full of dead ends reads as neglect to both crawlers and customers.

The web rots quietly: businesses you linked to close, blogs restructure their URLs, suppliers migrate domains. Your own redesigns break old internal paths too. That is why link-checking is periodic maintenance, not a one-time fix.

Some sites answer automated requests with 403 or 429 regardless of whether the page exists — LinkedIn and many news sites do this. Calling those "broken" would be false. This checker only says broken when the server itself says the page is gone (404/410); everything ambiguous is listed for you to check by hand.

Choose "Whole site" and it starts at the address you enter, follows your internal links and checks up to 25 pages, testing every unique link and image it finds on them (each one once, however many pages it appears on). "This page only" checks a single page. You see progress as it goes and can stop at any point to see the results so far.

Yes. "Download CSV" gives one row per broken link per page (the dead address, its status, the page it's on and the link text), ready for a spreadsheet or your developer. "Copy report" gives a plain-text summary.

Internal links: fix the path or redirect the old URL to its replacement. External links: update to the new destination or remove the link. If the list is long, that is exactly the kind of quiet upkeep a maintenance plan exists for.

No. It runs from this page on any website, whatever it's built with: WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow or custom code. Nothing is installed on your site, so it can't slow it down the way a link-checking plugin can.

A 403 or 429 means the other site refused our automated request; the page may be fine in a browser, so it's listed as "couldn't verify". A 5xx is a server error on the other site, often temporary. Only a 404 or 410, where the server says the page is gone, is counted as a broken link.
